About

Welcome to my blog!

Once a week I get a basket of organic produce from local farmers markets or by local home delivery. My mission: shoot the food the best way I can, cook a few things and share my experience with whomever out there in the world wants to see. Hopefully I can pass along a few interesting recipes with what to do with the produce currently in season in the Pacific Northwest and maybe a few appetizing photos to go with them.

Personally this is an outlet to make me practice my craft almost every day. I've found that my passion in photography is food and I want to immerse myself in it every way I can.  I currently work as a Freelance Photographer in Seattle and am lucky enough to stay home with my 2 amazing kids, Sawyer and Violet.

So here goes, I'm giving this a shot.

Feel free to let me know what you think, I would love to hear your comments.

Enjoy!

  1. Loving this blog. Keep up the posting, Elise. Your photographs are gorgeous and I've been inspired to try two new things in the kitchen already.

  2. Hi Elise,
Have been missing new splendid entries from you! - Including your inspiring, most lovely, delicate photography (I don't do too well at creating food (namely, edible morsels, in general; but when I view your pictures, it's so tantalizing to learn!). I complained to your father that you haven't posted any magic lately, and he explained your time may more limited now with your work.
Speaking of Joe, we reviewed your beautiful blog together most recently, and I requested he whip up something - soon!! And, I get to pick the recipe, too! Oh, boy! Unfortunately, uncertain yet which one to select. But, my first choice was shot down because he said nettles were not in season right now. So, when he gets back from fishing, and everything settles down, maybe you wouldn't mind sending a special recipe our way. One, strictly, from you. That would be so cool, if you have the time, only.
Hope all is well, and your family is enjoying summer in Seattle. I am. I have a new doggy. I am so wishing she will meet the Wy soon.
    Always, Dian

(P,S. Did not have your email address anymore and wanted to connect. Thanks.)

    1. Thanks Dian. Good to hear from you. I have been working full time and have sadly been neglecting my blog. I hope to find the time to get back to it soon. Sounds like your new puppy and Wyatt need some play time at Anderson Island soon.
Hope all is well with you.

      Best,

      Elise
